The Team

Renee Hocking-Duane, Owner & certified instructor

Hi! I'm Renee, the owner of That Yoga Place. I first stepped onto a yoga mat in 2020 and fell in love with the practice right away. Yoga has helped me emotionally, physically, and mentally since the start of my practice. The yoga mat is a sacred place to me and I will forever be grateful for what the practice provides.I graduated from LCC in May of 2025 with an associates in business and took my 200-YTT with Jason Crandell in spring of 2025. Right away, I started looking for the perfect place to open my own studio.
I've been married to my husband Brad since 2018 and we have a son, Theodore, who is the light of our life.
I hope to be able to share the yoga room space with each and every one of you that create That Yoga Place your practicing haven.

Lindsey Leffel, Certified Instructor

Hi, I'm Lindsey- a dog mom, a wife, and someone who finds joy in reading, hiking, Detroit sports, and most of all, yoga.I discovered yoga during a time when I was searching for something new, and I quickly realized it was so much more than just physical movement. For me, being on my mat is where I reconnect with myself-a space to ground, create, and let go. Over time, yoga became a way of life. I completed my 200-hour training at Soul Yoga, deepening both my practice and my passion for sharing it with others. As a yoga instructor, my goal is to create space for movement and mindfulness where every student feel welcomed, supported, and encouraged to grow at the own pace.I'm grateful for the opportunity to share this practice and its many benefits. I look forward to welcoming you to class and walking through this journey together.

Rachel Hund, Certified Instructor

Hi, I'm Rachel! I discovered my passion for yoga the first time that I took a class and learned what it meant to be mindful - of staying connected and present in the moment. Ever since then I have practiced and guided others in yoga in the hope of sharing movement that not only benefits the body but the mind and spirit too.I love being outdoors any chance I can, whether it's doing yoga, exploring a flower garden, reading in the sun, or taking my cat for a walk!

Ellen Koerner, Certified Instructor

My yoga journey began in 2013 as a last resort for chronic back pain - and what I found went far beyond relief. On the mat, I discovered new strength, clarity, and a practice I knew would stay with me for life. That discovery led me to complete my 200-hour teacher training at Divine Yoga in South Lyon, filled by Baptiste Yoga's Level 1 and Level 2 programs. Each step has deepened my passion for sharing yoga with others. My hope for every student is simple: that you leave class feeling encouraged, supported, and stronger than when you arrived.Outside the studio, I'm usually spending time with my family and two cats, working on a crochet project, or at Crossfit.

Jodi Brown, Certified Instructor

I'm a yoga teacher and personal trainer who believes movement should feel good, be fun, and never take itself too seriously. I love strength, slow movement, good music, and helping people feel more at home in their bodies.Outside the studio, I'm usually lifting something heavy, digging in my garden, hanging with her dogs, or finding an excuse to be outside or on the lake.

★  Pricing & Membership

Every way to practice here.

The Monthly Membership $129a month

Unlimited classes on our regular schedule.

If you're here most weeks already, this is the simplest way to keep coming.

Workshops, special events, and private sessions aren't included.

It's autopay, but the kind you'd design for yourself:

  • Cancel anytime, online, without explaining yourself to anyone. No phone call, no fee, no reason needed. Your membership stays active through the time you've already paid for.
  • Pause up to two months a year. Billing stops while you're paused. Come back early and we'll restart it the same day.
  • An email confirming every charge. Nothing is ever charged silently.

It takes about three minutes.

Have classes left on a pack? Come see us at the desk instead and we'll set it up just right.

New here? Start where everyone starts.

You don't have to be flexible. You don't need experience, the right clothes, or any idea what you're doing. Every pose is optional — child's pose is always the answer. Nobody's watching.

Come try classes first: your first 3 classes, $30. The membership will still be here whenever you're ready for it.

No need to decide anything on day one.

A membership isn't the only way. Drop-ins, class packs, and the monthly and 3-month unlimited passes are all still here. The membership is one more option, not a replacement.

Prefer to buy as you go?

There's no wrong way to practice here.

Class packs are 5, 10 or 15 classes, from $90, and they're good for a year from purchase. Single classes are $20 if you'd rather just drop in. No autopay, no card kept on file, come when you can.
